Okorocha Prepares For Under Another Statue Unveiling !!!

Just when we thought we had seen so much from the IMO state's first country man. Another plug is coming into play as a new statue is on the wait to be unveiled

The IMO start governor is on the move to unveil another statue. This time around, it is the statue of Nana Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana.

The Governor who has become famous for erecting structures for African leaders including Jacob Zuma of South Africa, Ellen Johnson of Liberia disclosed the scheduled visit through his media aides.

Meanwhile, Okorocha said that he is ready for probe over the statues he erected in honour of South Africa’s president and Liberian president.

We gathered that the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) on Sunday, November 12, called for the probe of Okorocha over the statues which he “may have spent over N1billion of public funds to build”.

The statues sparked outrage from Nigerians who saw it as unnecessary. Some describing it as a waste of public funds and lacks any form of impact on IMOlites who are yet to receive complete packages of their salaries.

But in a statement on Tuesday, November 14, Sam Onwuemeodo, chief press secretary to the governor, said SERAP should have stopped at its call for a probe and not “pass judgements”.
