Couple Murdered In Cold Blood For Marrying Without Permission In Pakistan

Pakistani police said yesterday they have arrested ten people for killing a newly-wed couple who entered into a free-will marriage in the southern port city of Karachi.

Police officer Qasim Hameed said that Abdul Hadi, 24, and Hasina Bibi, 19, were killed by relatives last week for marrying without permission from their elders earlier this month. Qasim said Hadi’s father and nine other relatives were arrested after the couple’s bodies were found in a local graveyard on Sunday. He said Bibi’s father has absconded.

He added that the men confessed to murdering the couple with knives upon the orders of a “Jirga,” or tribal council, for dishonoring their Pashtun culture. Nearly 1,000 Pakistani women are killed by close relatives each year in so-called honor killings.

Radio Host Shot Dead During Hunting Expedition

An Ekiti  State  radio  host,  Abulganiyu Lawal, was, on Thursday, shot dead  during a  hunting expedition by unknown persons at Araromi-Oke in Ekiti East Local Government Are.

The 42-year  old, who was a member of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), has since been buried  according to Islamic rites in his parents residence in Igbemo-Ekiti.


 It was gathered that the ugly incident occurred  in  Apepe  Farm Settlement in Araromi-Oke.A source close to the family of the deceased  said  Lawal, after  a meeting with his hunter-friends, decided to go into the forest to hunt and promised to return before 10pm. Relatives became worried when he didn’t  return  that  night  while his phone  also  failed to connect. His body was later discovered by villagers going to the farm on Friday morning.

The Public Relations Officer of Ekiti State Police Command, Alberto Adeyemi, confirmed the death  in  a text message.

Man Found Dead In Front Of Electronic Shop

A middle-aged man, identified simply as Taiwo, who was a security man at an electronic appliance retail shop, was found dead on Wednesday in front of the shop.

It was gathered that he slumped in front of the shop located on Oyemekun Road, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Witnesses said the cause of the death had yet to be known at the time of filing this report, but it was gathered that his lifeless body was found in front of the shop by some workers of the retail shop, who resumed duty early.

One of the witnesses said, “The men of the state police command were invited to the scene, and the corpse was taken to a mortuary by the policemen.

“There was no sign that the man was killed because there was no gunshot injury or any mark on his body.”

A member of staff of the shop, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the deceased as an active person, saying he did not show any sign of illness before the close of work on Tuesday.

“He was our security man in this office. We were together yesterday (Tuesday) before we departed for our different homes after work. He was lively and agile and had shown no sign of sickness yesterday (Tuesday).

“However, when we resumed for work this morning (Wednesday), we found his body on the ground. It is unfortunate,” he said.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph, said the command had begun investigation into the matter to unravel the cause of the death.

He stated that the command had yet to arrest anybody in connection with the incident, adding that some workers of the shop had been invited.

“There is nothing yet to show that the man was killed.

“However, the  Ondo State Police Command has  started investigation into the matter,” Joseph said.

Badoo Members Kill Woman And Her Two Children In Renewed Attacks

A woman and her two children have allegedly killed by suspected Badoo ritual cult gang members in Lagos in a renewed attack.

After a few months of going underground, the deadly Badoo ritual cult gang has come back in full force after they attacked a church located at Temu village in the Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area, Epe, Lagos State.

According to Punch reports, the gang struck in the early hours of Tuesday, November 21, 2017, and left its trademark of blood, tears, and sorrow with the killing of a woman and her two children.

The victims who identified as Mrs. Iyabo, David, a four-year-old boy and his eight-year-old sister, Rachael, were reportedly killed around 2 am while they were asleep at a Celestial Church of Christ parish which also serves as their residence.

It was also gathered that the assailants had scaled the fence of the church to gain entry and thereafter used a grinding stone to hit the heads of their targets after which theywiped the blood and brain membranes and escaped.

30 Persons Dies Following Suicide Attack Carried Out By Teenagers

At least 30 persons in Mubi Adamawa State have lost their lives following a suicide attack carried out by a yet to be identified teenager.

The Adamawa police spokesman, Othman Abubakar, who confirmed the incident, said more than 30 persons lost their lives in the dawn Mosque attack. “We were made to understand that there was a bomb blast at a mosque in Mubi and over 30 lives were lost.

 A boy about 17-year-old wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb.


Many of the wounded are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Mubi North where the attacks occurred around Kunu Araha area” he said. He noted that several other persons wounded in the attacks are receiving medical attention at various medical hospitals in Mubi Town.

 However, emergency aid workers and other first responders put the death toll in the attack at 40. An official working with the International Rescue Committee, Emma Adasolid, among the first responders at the scene said about 40 dead bodies were evacuated.

   Reports also estimated that at least 50 people may have died in the attack. Asked who was responsible, Abubakar in an AFP report said,  “We all know the trend. We don’t suspect anyone specifically but we know those behind such kind of attacks.” The attack bore all the hallmarks of Boko Haram, the Islamist militants whose insurgency has left at least 20,000 people dead and more than 2.6 million others homeless since 2009. Haruna Furo, head of the Adamawa state emergency management agency, and Musa Hamad Bello, chairman of the Mubi north local government area, both confirmed the attack. They gave lower death tolls but both said the number of those killed was likely to rise. Another emergency services official described the blast as “devastating”.

He said only that there were “high casualties”. – Roof blown off – Abubakar Sule, who lives near the mosque, said he had just returned home when he heard the blast. “I was there when the rescue was on and 40 people died on the spot and several others were taken to hospital with severe and life-threatening injuries,” he added. “The roof was blown off. People near the mosque said the prayer was mid-way when the bomber, who was obviously in the congregation, detonated his explosives. “This is obviously the work of Boko Haram.” Boko Haram briefly overran Mubi in late 2014 as its fighters rampaged across northeastern Nigeria, seizing towns and villages in its quest to establish a hardline Islamic state. The town’s name was changed temporarily to Madinatul Islam, or “City of Islam” in Arabic, during the Boko Haram occupation. But it has been peaceful since the military and the civilian militia ousted them from the town, which is a commercial hub and home to the Adamawa State University. In recent months, Boko Haram activity has been concentrated on the far north of Adamawa state, around Madagali, which is near the border with neighbouring Borno state. Earlier this month, at least two civilians were killed when dozens of Boko Haram fighters tried to storm the town of Gulak but were repelled by soldiers.

There have been repeated suicide bombings in the area, which lies not far from the Sambisa Forest area of Borno, where the militants had a base.

Former PDP Chairman's son Stabbed To Death By wife

Reports have it that Bilyamin Muhammed Bello, son of a former PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, has been murdered.

The deceased was allegedly murdered by his wife last night. His wife, Maryam Sanda, daughter of embattled former Aso Savings boss, Hajia Maimuna Aliyu, is said to have stabbed him to death.

Maryam, allegedly stabbed her husband following claims of him cheating on her. She reprotedly stabbed him 3 times in the back; and severally on his private parts, at their home in Maitama, Abuja.

Part of his ear, was also bitten off before the knife attack and Bilyaminu was said to have been treated at a hospital before returning home.

People advised that he leaves the house but he refused. Maryam allegedly drove him to the hospital after stabbing him but he later gave up the ghost.

The couple had a child together. Bilyaminu will be buried today.

Nigeria's Former vice-President Dies - BREAKING!!!

 Former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme is dead. A statement from his family signed by his brother and the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme said that he died by 10:00pm in a London clinic, Sunday.

 The statement read: “Ekwueme family regrets to announce the peaceful passing away of their patriarch, the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON. “The sad event occurred at the London Clinic at 10:00 pm on Sunday 19th November 2017.” Ekwueme had slumped in his Enugu residence, and immediately taken to the Memfys Neurosurgery Hospital Enugu,



 where he relapsed and went into coma. As soon as he was stabilised in the hospital he was flown to London in an air ambulance last week.
