"Athlete's foot" as funny as the name sounds,does not act funny.
It is a fungal infection that usually occurs between the toes.
It is very common in Nigeria (that's to say more than 2 million Nigerians are infected with the fungus).
It is usually a scaly,red,raw-appearing infection and occasionally, maybe weepy and oozing with little blisters.
It occurs in both male and female from 0 to 70+ age.

It is contagious, it spreads from person to person,walking barefoot in areas where someone else with the fungus has recently walked, patient with diabetes has higher tendencies of getting infected with the fungus. wearing of tight-fitted shoes, for a long period of time.
Treatment for athletes foot
Exclusive shoe materials, such as vinyl,which causes the feet to remain moist,provides a perfect area for the fungus to proliferate.
Likewise, absorbent cotton socks that wick water away from your feet may be useful.
A home remedy of dilute white vinegar soaks using one part for vinegar and roughly four parts water, once or twice in a day(for ten minutes) may aid in treatment followed by evaporation will be helpful.
